Last week went ok, training wise. It wasn’t that hard to fit in 2 bike, run, swim (tri talk for doing two of each discipline) although it requires a lot more getting up early and having my act together than I’m used to. I’m going to continue with two spin classes a week and two runs – one being a long weekend training run – and try to focus a lot on upping my swim stamina. The advice the tri club gave was not to train hardest for your best segment, which is the tendency because that’s the most fun. My best segment is oddly the bike instead of the run, so I’m just going to keep spinning instead of getting out on the road while it’s still slushy and wet on the trails.
So swimming it is. I know there are some couch to a mile programs – anyone have a favorite?
